While I believe hams have been better than average at policing themselves, I 
do believe the FCC should remain involved to the level it was in the 50's 
and 60's.  There's a little thing called human nature which always tries to 
justify that whatever we do is right while what others do is wrong.  That's 
true for all of us.

As for breaking down doors Etc. that makes those who do that just as illegal 
as those they claim to be policing.  We are supposed to obey all laws, not 
just the ones we agree with.  Conversely, our government is supposed to 
enforce all laws, not just the ones that it or the individual law 
enforcement personnel agree with.  The best law in the world is only as good 
or bad as its enforcement.
