And then add a windom to the mix. That's what I'm trying to get up this
summer. Simply a half-wave dipole that's off-center fed. Off-center by a
prescribed amount, of course; fed with coAx through a 4 to 1 ballun.
The first antenna I ever built was a 40 meter folded dipole. It was made of
a half-wave of 300 ohm twin lead fed at the center and shorted at the ends.
And then, what makes a windom a carolina windom? What would be the name for
a bedspring?
