Gary,

I have three Seco watches.  I got the first of them in 1984, and the catch 
is still working properly.  The catch on the second watch has never worked 
properly, but the one on the third one works as it should.  The only reason 
I ever bought another one was that my first one was looking quite worn and 
tarnished from over twenty years of constant wearing.
