Agree. But just to say thanks for someone's idea would be better served
going to that person.  Oh well, just my thoughts.

Hi Barb,

While I understand that your suggestion would cut down a little on traffic,
I feel it is worthwhile to know that someone's problem was solved or their
question was answered satisfactorily.  If the list doesn't know that an
issue has been solved then, people will continue to post to the list on an
issue that has been resolved.  That generates unnecessary traffic also.

Just my opinion.
