Hi Jed,
Because the noise bridge can only pass through 300 watts, i connect the
noise bridge between my tranceiver and either my external tuner or my
amplifier and then the tuner. When you activate the noise bridge, you tune
the tuner for a null in the pulsating noise and that gives you a low swr
without tuning up on the air.
The vectronics unit has a bypass circuit if you forget to turn it off before
you transmit and I have done that several times without any damage to the
noise bridge..
