I'd doubt a music store is going to be able to help. I'd look around ebay 
and see if you can find extensions  made up there, find a local ham to help 
you, or if the mic has the xlr plugs, I'd get a cable to extend it there 
rather than with the 8 pin connectors, I don't know that mic but there has 
to be an easier way. It takes a special person to colder an 8 pin connector, 
I've done it and it's not fun but I usually cut the unused pins away inside 
the connector for more soldering room on the ones I do use.
