John, Bob is a really neat guy. I've known him for a number of years. His
home in Marissa, IL is probably only about 35 40 miles from me. He did a
fantastic presentation for our March club meeting.

Hi all, I was honored to be able to work K9EID today after the net. I have
known about Bob since the early 70's when I had a set of speakers with the
Heil air motion transformer for tweaters. Does anyone remember those? The
band was certainly in weird shape, with some stations like Kevin quite
strong and K9EID was probably the loudest station I heard out here. Lloyd
was up and down, so I am glad he was able to hear me at all with my barefoot
706 mark 2 and poor antenna! GRIN!
