OH, My, goodness! Guys, have I been doing all this wrong?
Howard, you just mentioned that the jumper should go from either the coax 1 or the coax 2 connecter on the back of the 570, and the other end should connect to the transmit coax connector on the back of the mfj tuner?
If that is the case, I been doing all this wrong!

  The tuner Harry is using is a manual MFJ 949E so all that needs to be 
  connected between the Kenwood 570 is a coax jumper from Antenna 1 or Antenna 
  2 to the transmitter coax connector on the tuner

  And I believe that the 4 key on the number pad will select between the two 
  antenna connectors on the 570.
