Hi,
I have the T Y T dual band HT and the only problem is that I haven't figured
out a way to set up the ctcss tones. There is a ctcss scan function that
seems to work, but it doesn't seen to transfer to the frequency that's
active. Anyone have any ideas?

For one thing, you can enter CTCSS tones directly, i.e. go to the =
appropriate menu and just type in 1862 for a 186.2 PL tone. Also, the =
menu takes longer to time out, a goo 10 seconds versus about 3 for the =
Wouxun. The Wouxun might have slightly fuller transmit audio. =
Ergonomically I like the Baofeng a little better. The only advantage to =
the TYT is that it has a standard keypad layout, and the menus speak as =
you scroll through them. Well, most of them do, anyway. The important =
ones, like CTCSS/DCS tone settings, do not. Oh, also, the Baofeng is =
cheaper than the Wouxun by, well, a bunch.=20
