Hi Haoward,
Okay, I probably wasn't as clear in my original post as I should have been.
We bought an Inmotion bluetooth speaker from Alteclansing. In the
package they include a small bluetooth transmitter which plugs into a
usb on a pc. The point is that you're supposed to be able to listen to
music or whatever from your pc all around the house. It claims to be
effective up to 300 feet. We don't even get 30 feet as you mentioned.
I'd never heard of bluetooth with such a range, but figured that
Alteclansing is a reputable company so they would know what they're
talking about.
Anyway, it almost sounds like they're actually guilty of false
advertising when they give this extended bluetooth range for their
little transmitter.
I've never heard of anything that has the range this thing is supposed
to have, and guess we're stuck with it. Just thought someone might know
of an extended range bluetooth transmitter as I know a lot of the folks
on this list are into all sorts of things.
Thanks anyway,
Don w6smb
