I echo many others.  either buy a noise bridge (tentec, mfj, vectronics, or 
palomar engineers.
google "tuner tuner" for the palomar engineers version.

Also here is contact info for a man who has repared a kenwood ts520 (even 
older than the 120).  He might be able to help you.
