Bruit force and applied ignorance rules ok - but not too much!
You have probably got it about right!

Finding the orientation of the power pole connector of the K3 is equally challenging!

Subject: Need Tips for easily removing DC power cord connection on back-up Kenwood TS570 rig

Hi, again, everyone.

I was doing some testing of the Kenwood TS570 that I bought earlier this
summer as a back-up to my TS590, and I am finding that it is extremely
difficult to remove the DC power connector from the back of that rig.
Actually, I have found the same problem with my TS590, and the TS480 out at
the RV.

Does anyone have any suggestions for removing the DC power connector easily?
I know there is a small clip on the top of the connector that fits into the
housing, but I am having trouble figureing out how to consistently disengage
it. I just don't want to damage anything.
