There are only a couple things that you need the oft ware for, like whether to lock a channel out of scan for example. And, you can get it to work, if you can get the mouse pointer on a cell and click it, then you can tab, but the labels are wrong.

The easiest way to handle programming the Wouxun with the computer is with owx either under Linux/whatever, or in a Windows command line. Here's a link to a copy compiled under cygwin and all self-contained, just unzip it to some directory and run from a command prompt as directed:

But mostly, I don't bother with the computer and just program by hand. Of course, reading o/writing to the radio is easy with the software and that's OK if someone's given you a setup file already.
