Hi Howard,
Nope, I've got the old dsl, not the uverse, not quite here yet, but they're workin on getting it here!
As far as the modem, it's the 3 wire modem.
From the bottom to top, you got the following cables.
1. the power cord.
2. The local area cable which goes from the modem to the laptop.
3. The cable on the top goes from the modem to the phone jack.
