Hi All, there's real progress, both on updating the website, and some new products and options./Just checked out the website, it's not real blind friendly, but you can do pretty well, you can order from them or from the stores, and Vern, at super antennas does take paypal.
the new web address is
n e w s u p e r a n t e n n a dot com.
*take out the spaces, use the period instead of my spelled dot, and away you go.
*From what I read there is a good bit more variability as to what you can get and do than before.
IE, EG, you can buy the 40-10 coil, slider, 4foot telescopic antenna, and 2foot base rod to go under the coil, to use with your own mount for $79&change.
the 40-10, or actually 40-450 mhz unit which has the above stuff plus a basic table mount and clamp still, I believe 99+Change,
although there's a more delux one which has at least one counterpoise set for around 120.
There are both mc80 and mc60 coils, to be added between the basic coil and base rod, depending on which of those bands you want to work
both of which are between 25&30$s each,
there is a tripod mount,
a side of rig mount for
IC703&703Plus,
706 all flavers,
and 7000,
Yaesu 817, and ND, and 857,
that runs between 25 and 30,
there are four different radial sets,
1, for 80 and 60 meters,
1 for 40, 30, and 20meters,
 One for 17-15-12&10 meters,
and one for 6&2Meters+70CM.

the mobile kit,/a four foot stainless non telescoping ant, and 2foot solid base rod is apparently also available again for around 30$s.

If you've got a magnetic antenna mount with 3/8by24threads that you can put on a metal surface or any other type of 3/8by24 threaded mount which will allow you to have up to seven feet between your mount and the ceiling, if you have the coax jumper or molded in cable to get from the mount to the radio, and you can roll your own, or cut your own counterpoise wires, you can get away with the 79 dollar basic set, play with it, see what you think, and if you don't like it, sell it pretty much for what you have in it.

Anyway, although the site is still in flux in terms of all stuff being complete, they're making definite progress, and despite the fact I've not tried either the mc60 or the new counterpoises/teflon coated wire, I'm convinced from what I have tried over the years from these folks, that the antenna is a definite option and a good one for blind or sighted folks either indoor or outdoors, cause if you follow instructions, and construct carefully,/doesn't take long before you can get really good at tuning the thing by sound, and find yourself very close when and if you switch in a tuner or whatever. I'm not being paid by Vern and company, but I'm sure glad they're doing what they're doing
I still am working on the update of my review and instructs on icanworkthisthing.com, and I appologize for the fact that it isn't updated yet//sure sorry about all the "greaters" in that document----I'll try to do better, ____Honest Mom!
. Glad to interact by fone or email with anyone who has questions, Just let me know!HTH, Danny Dyer, Wb4idu.
