Hi John,
I can't give ya a phone suggestion, however, you can use bluetooth to connect a bluetooth keyboard to the touch screen phone.
Unfortunately, voice control of phones is not that great yet!
Let us know what you decide on getting, and how it works for you!

Subject: OT cell phone help or suggestions

Hi all, OK,I'm up for a new cell phone tomorrow. I was considering an =
android or something different form the windows mobile phones I've been =
using, sick of lock ups and what not, I understand a few of you have =
androids, can anyone suggest one that's good for accessibility that will =
work on T-Mobile. I'd very much prefer with no touch screen since I hate =
touch screens but it seems like that's the majority of what's out there =
though my wife's phone has both which I could deal with if I had to. No =
iphones on t-mobile and I'm not paying for anything if it's not free =
I'll stick with what I have but I should have about anything available =
tomorrow free and am tired of my current phone needing the battery =
  pulled once a week.
