Jim,

Yes, most of us are in the east or  midwest for the 40 meter thing.   In 
fact the full name for it is "East coast, mid west blind hams 
roundtable, incorperated", or some such thing.

Conditions permiting, you will have  no problem getting into the 20 
meter net.  There are check ins from all over the country.

QTH here is just outside Philly.
