Hi Kevin,
I think that would be awesome, and I wonder if it could cook a hot dog or hamburger?
Has anyone ever heard if someone tryed that with a microwave rig and antenna?

  Hi.

I have the Kenwood 2000, and it's a real nice radio. In adition to covering
all bands between 160 meters and 440 Mhz except for 220 Mhz you can buy a
model that covers the 1.2 Ghz band. I got this model, but I haven't tried
the microwave band yet. I'd like to put a hot dog near the antenna on that
band and see if I can cook it. <grin>
