hi linda:
I didn't quite get the drift of what you were saying.
You said the repeater you can't transmit into has no ctcss tone? ok, then
you should have no problem transmitting into it...if it has a ctcss tone,
simply program that tone to transmit on your wouxun and you'll be in
business...
if a repeater has no tone, then you don't need any tone to transmit to
it...the tones are only there to keep the repeater secure from noise and
intermod, though you only need to program your radio to transmit the tone,
not receive the tone.
I think Icanworkthisthing.com has the wouxun instruction manual and a cheat
sheet or two that will explain how you can enter a tx tone on the radio to
get into the repeater that needs a tone, but that you don't have a tone
programmed into the radio for...if that makes any sence.
If not, please explain what you meant.
regards
Colin
