Hi Pat,
Now that, was great!
Well folks, here's my funny field day story.
In 1984, I was with the Kalamazoo county amateur radio club, (w8vy), and on Sunday morning, we were near the fire, making breakfast.
Well, no fake folks, I'm sitting there, and I put my foot out a little further to stretch out.
You all know what's coming, right?
Well, I said, "Guys, my foot's getting a little warm, and I didn't need to be warm, I just want to stretch out a bit.!"
One of the guys said, "Trippy, you're getting warm alright, because your foot's in the fire! You sure know how to get a hot foot!"
73,
Trippy, ac8s

Apologies if I've told this before back in the mid eighties at w3vpr one =
of the guys decided to refurbish an old 4 mhz spark transmitter. When =
he keyed that thing up he blew the 7500volt transformer on a nearby =
power pole and the whole town of Davidsonville was without power for 3 =
  hours.
