Ed beat me to the punch. I'm also thinking an external tuner may help.
Of course the perfect answer is to get one of your antennas
resonant, but as we see from our friend Eric, often easier said than
done for any number of reasons.

Eric hasn't had great success in getting help from local hams, but maybe
your situation is different and you could borrow an external tuner and
see if it works. I don't know the specs on the 570's internal tuner,
but many of them claim only a 3:1 matching range.
