great for tuning, useless for swr.
That is, if you use a tuner all the time, it's a pretty useful tool, but to 
take swr readings as you trim or lengthen an antenna, they are much less 
useful.
I suppose you could take audio recordings of the pitch of the tone after 
each antenna alteration and compare them until you have the lowest tone...
was this device used for power or for swr?  Seems I remember it was for 
power only, IE, you could use the tone to indicate when your power went up 
or down...good for tuning tube amps.
