Well the clubg net also does help try to keep up momentum and keep people
intnerested.  I run one for our club hoping we would increase checkins
beyond a few 3-4 but they do recommend a net to keep up the interest.
Sometimes I wonder though.

If nothing else, it confirms that  your gear is functioning and can be used
in the event of an emergency.  If you don't get on at all... Well, who
knows?
