Nothing wrong at all, really! What you say makes perfect sense.
I never got to 80 and 160 during the contest. Just couldn't stay up long
enough.
P.S. I noticed and worked those 3 Medeira stations as well, I think on 15,
20 and 40. I found that kind of unusual. Don't remember them being so
abundant in previous contests.
