Hi Pat, I have both rigs.  The TMV71A has only 2 buttons above the main 
tuning knob and the TMV7A has 3 buttons above the main tuning knob.  The 
main tuning knob is located in the lower left corner of the front face. 
There are several good manuals on Handihams and I can work this thing. com.

I won't do anything till I hear from you.  I believe it's a tmv71a but not
sure.  How do you find out?
