First, I think others have indicated that the TW1 isn't the most accurate 
thing around.  I don't know that the internal meter in the 590S will be any 
more accurate, but it can't be less.  I don't own a TW-1 so I can't speak as 
to whether there is any facility to adjust it.  As long as you are into 
intellectual pursuits, why not borrow somebody's Bird Wattmeter, with the 
proper element installed and take some measurements compared to your TW1.

Second, I've noticed on my TS-2000, and I assume that the 590S will be 
similar, that there are losses when using the internal antenna tuner.  My 
relative power is down about 14-20 watts when using the internal tuner 
versus using an external tuner.  I think Bob, K8LR has had similar results.
