Hi, folks.

I know, I know, it's just the professor in me, but this output power issue
I've been dealing with is intellectually interesting, if nothing else. I
fully realize that 20 watts either way isn't going to make a difference in
terms of who hears me, how well they hear me, etc., but I have to report on
my latest set of output power readings this morning.

First of all, When I use my Astron RS35 power supply, and take output power
readings with the watt meter on the TS590, things now seem to be pretty
stable at 100 watts output on either a resonant frequency for one of my
antennas, or when using the TS590 auto-tuner. Obviously, the resonant
frequency readings are going to be the most revealing, so those are the
ones I have the most faith in.

What I still don't understand is why my LDG TW1 seems to be about 20 watts
off with its output power readings. For now, I'm going to go with the
readings the radio gives me, since the rig is what needs to be kept happy.

Between Mike Duke and Steve Forst, I do have some good instructions if I
ever want to tweak the output voltage on the Astron RS35, but I think I'll
hold off on doing that for a while until I see if things remain as stable as
they are right now.

Thanks to all for your your continued interest in, and help with this issue.
