Most people with gmail don't even get one copy of their own messages, That 
is very strange. The only time I've seen my own messages is if I had imap 
and pop enabled for my gmail account and used an imap program, then I might 
see messages but imap and pop have to be enabled and I have to check it via 
imap to get it to happen.
