Hi all,

Well that 40M Hamstick jammed in the ground with some wires for a ground =
worked pretty well. I tried making contact with one station, but I just =
could not pull the call out of all the noise. However, I was successful =
making contact with Jack/WF1L. My copy speed is pretty slow, but I =
managed to keep up for the most part. Lots of practice is necessary, but =
it really felt good.
I did have to crank up the power a bit, so I did finally hear the fan in =
the Samlex SEC1235. Well it is amazingly loud, but not nearly as bad as =
the constant noise from the RS model I was using. The good thing is the =
fan did not run for long and it took quite a while before it did come =
on. I'm not even sure why it bothered since the supply was quite cool to =
the touch.
So, needless to say I'm very pleased with my rig and supply. Oh and I'm =
really happy with the Bencher key. I still need to sort out the problems =
I'm having with this older paddle I have and it may be replaced with =
something else. THe adjustments on it really irritate me. It looks nice, =
but isn't playing very well.
