Do any of you take a letter from your doctor, when you travel to foreign countries, to justify why you're brining gluten-free back-up food with you?

Courtesy of my years with celiac, I have a number of associated diseases and disorders...for which I need medication. Five different meds, plus asthma stuff, plus assorted vitamins and supplements.

I have gone oversees a couple of times, but to countries that didn't make a big deal out of it. Now, I'm going to the eastern Mediterranean on a cruise, and online, it says Turkey and Greece can be very persnickety. I would prefer not to take my original bottles of pills. Between the bottles and my nebulizer and all of my asthma stuff, and my gf back-up snacks....my carry-on would hold nothing else.

I have asked my doctor for scripts, but his receptionist had a hissy fit. It wasn't a problem in the past, because we all needed little blue scripts for our renewals then. Now, everything is done online, and she doesn't want to do the work of writing out all the scripts.

Any suggestions? I'm not sure how to get past the doctor's receptionist. Medicare isn't going to cover an office visit to just get scripts....and she even through a tantrum over how to fit me in. (FYI, the trip isn't for another 2 weeks. I didn't wait until the last minute.)
