I know this fellow selling this amp and it would be a nice addition to anyone wanting a no tune amp for a reasonable cost. 73

Subject: [UDXAList] For Sale - Alpha 374A Amplifier

I'm listing this here before it goes up on QTH.com and other sites.

I bought it new in February 1981. It comes with original packaging and manuals. It has been upgraded with the addition of a Peter Dahl Hypersil transformer and modifications made by Dick Byrd, N4UQ who modifies/restores only vintage Alpha amplifiers.

The 374A is a 160-10 full legal limit no-tune amplifier. It originally had two 8874 tubes, but has been upgraded to three tubes as described by Dick on his website. Three new tubes were installed at the time. I have the original pair of tubes which, after 19 years of service, still perform well and are included. It has been modified to cover the WARC bands (12, 17 and 30) and has the QSK (full break-in) modification.

Works perfectly. Cosmetically 9 of 10. Totally trouble free and reliable. $2,000.

Call with any questions. (801)580-9636.
