My sighted wife already has an IPhone so I got an IPod touch just to learn
the OS and learn to use the touch screen. It is daunting at first but if
you persist you'll eventually amaze yourself. The tipping point for me was
when I had her install the at bat 11 app so I could listen to baseball
games. That gave me a real reason to use the thing and once I started doing
that everything happened quickly. Apple has done a remarkably good job at
engineering voiceover and the subtle sounds it makes really compliment the
voice feedback. Now, I use it all the time mainly to listen to streams and
I can see why the IPhoners are so addicted. If I can ever aford it, I'd
love to have one myself some day. Lou WA3MIX
