We had an interesting time today. F-layer skip was shorter than usual, but
the frequency was clearer than usual and many of us could hear most of the
stations who checked in. Preliminary solar flux index for September 25 was
169, which is still a very high figure.

W6QUV reported that StepIR has shown some interest in the talking adaptation
he made to their older controller, and they are sending him a newer
controller and documentation, so a speech-adapted version of that controller
should become available.

Today's check-ins were:
W8QIY
W6PR
W3IUU
WB9SLM
K7UC
W6QUV
K1NDF
WB9R
KG4ITD
WA0KZB
KD8PC
WB9GUT
W7OQ
W5IAY
WD8INW
KF5BXG, Bill, Fort Worth, TX
WA0VJR
KB9ZUV
KF7MEL
With W9DIK checking in after the net.
