Not so strange since the storms I think came from the Great lakes.

Interestingly, then, the noise seemed to be worse for us up in the northern
lattitudes.

And, I think I can confirm that from yesterday's experience, in that
southern stations in the North American QSO Party contest didn't seem to
have nearly as much trouble copying stations on 20 meters as stations like
me who were further north.

Very strange indeed.
