”Help!  The connection to my provider is constantly being cut off
and/or can't dial. Here are the facts:

- Aspen/Sierra V.34/SQ3456 internal/Win95B/Spanish/Cyrix200+/Award
Bios 4.51PG

- On rare occasion Plug and Pray can't find modem

- Sometimes Dial-up doesn't find modem installed or out of service or
doesn't receive response from modem, won't dial.

- Modem diagnose shows modem on Com 3, but Com 3 doesn't appear on
list of System/Com ports. Re-installing sometimes changes it to Com 4,
which also doesn't appear on Com list.

-Modem/diagnose/more info shows OK sometimes, and can't open port
other times. Sometimes diagnose is fine at the same time Dialup can't
find modem.

- If initial connection with IP fails, Dial-Up shows modem in use by
other program, have to reboot to dial up again. Waiting/cancelling
Rnaap doesn't help.

- Call waiting is disactivated, have tried re-seating card and
changing slot.

Don't really want to buy another modem yet..... any ideas???
Took an hour to get enough cooperation to send this message.
