Mr. Ceesay,
Thanks a ton for keeping us posted on matters relating to the Daily
Observer. Any sober look at the matter of the sale and its immediate
consequences, indicate a serious blow to Gambia's gradual democratisation.
Can anyone tell me why Mr. Best needed to sell the newspaper in the first
place? Did he suddenly become poor or what? He seemed not to have minded a
damn about the opinions of the editorial staff? Selling a nation's biggest
newspaper is really very serious political business,
capitalist ownership rights over it notwithstanding!
Keep Up The Good Work Down There!
Momodou S Sidibeh.
