the TH F6A is an HT and has VHF/UHF and 220 band.  You would probably be 
looking at the TH F7E which is the european version of the north american TH 
F6A.
It'll do short wave with single side band down to below the AM broadcast 
band.
The HF receiver isn't great, but probably comparible to a mid range portible 
shortwave receiver.
