Here's what I did:

After three unsuccessful attempts to join and post messages to the group, I
contacted the moderator and asked for help.

I told him why I wanted to join, that I was a blind ham who has found the
TS590 to be a great rig, wanted to be able to ask questions if needed, etc.,
and somehow, magically, I got subscribed.

The e-mail address for the moderator is:

The moderator is:

Daniel, HB9DDS

In my view, the more of us that complain about the difficult subscription
process, the better the chance will be that things will be made easier for
others in the future.

Hope this helps.

Well, I got a note back saying my request to join was not approved. Hell,
I wonder if it is worth it.
