I'm wondering, has anyone had the opportunity to directly compare the ts590 against the elecraft k3?

I'd be interested in any comments especially with regard to overall receiver performance, such as filtering, noise reduction etc.

As I've had no hands on experience of either, for anyone who has used both radios, opinions on general feel and ergonomics of each would be good.

The various lab tess carried out in reviews of the 590 would suggest the figures on the k3 are better, but just curious how close are they in terms of everyday real world operating conditions.

I'm not so much interested in the accessibility aspect, as of course the 590 is much superior in this area.

I don't get the chance to seriously contest, but I do avidly chase dx especially on cw, and in the decision making process for a new rig, i'm wondering is the k3 worth nearly double the cost of a k3 with additional filters.
