I screwed up and wrote:

when I meant to say:

Then sys the C: drive with the W98 rescue disk to restore command.com
and io.sys.
Note: The default W98 rescue disk does not contain sys.com, so copy it
>from C:\windows\command to your rescue disk _now_ , as in today. :)
But to answer your question, Jeff; I don't know. :)
Maybe set the system date back(in the BIOS) before booting with the
fat32 rescue disk.
If you care to experiment, let us know how you make out! :)
