I know the box you mean, I forget what they're called but you see it a lot
in commercial installs. They're great. I know someone who has one in his
mobile ham installation in fact, he just put it in a couple weeks ago so he
can run HF mobile and make that last transmition, or last contact after
shutting the car motor off. I'd think about it with my mobile installation
but the battery in our car isn't big enough for what it's supposed to do
much less that. It starts it but on the coldest mornings it's all it can do
to start it.
