Dear Listmates,
The September King Arthur Flour catalog is out, and it features Honeycomb
Buns. Their recipe was not initially gluten free, but it converted pretty
well, and it doesn't use exotic ingredients like Expandex. If you are near
a Chinese grocer you can easily find sweet rice flour or glutenous rice
flour (actually gluten free) for around $1.25 for a 1 pound box. Use your
favorite gluten free flour.
The Honeycomb Buns are great for breakfast and fun to eat. Since making
these involve plenty of playing with your food, it is a nice recipe to make
with kids. Here is where to find it: click through to
http://bit.ly/GF_Bake(equivalent to
http://home.comcast.net/~vhdolcourt/gfbaking ) Under breads, scan down to
rolls and look for the red chevron >.
Please let us know if you have any issues or thoughts.
