While I don't know anything about this specific card (other than what you put
below), I can tell you it is highly unlikely your friend will be able to use
it.

AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) is a new advanced video interface found on
LX-chipset Pentium II boards (and probably other PII boards).  While this
interface may work its way onto other motherboards, I'm 99% certain your
friend's current VX chipset motherboard does not have the necessary AGP slot
for this card to fit into.
