Unfortunately, that's not as crazy as it sounds. SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) could open up that can of worms. At its extreme, all *they* would have to do is catch just about any copy & paste quote added to a post, and shut down the list indefinitely. The bill didn't pass the last time, but it may come back.
