Make sure to work some other folks. W8JI has one of the best 160-meter
stations in the country, and can hear more pins dropping on that band than
almost anyone else. You need to have QSO's with normal 160-meter stations
for a more accurate view of how your antenna is doing.
Go to w8ji.com and you can read a lot of interesting stuff about receivers,
antennas, diversity reception, splatter, etc. You can also hear recordings
of some of the DX he has heard from his super-station.
