be careful with the ramsey stuff they are reportedly very dirty according  to an engeneer friend of mine  and often cause terrible interference to other services, also depending on ho wyou assemble it you can easily find yourself in very very hot water with the fcc as  tey go way beyond what the legal limit is, often covering several miles. their audio quality I am told is very poor. unfortunately wha the fcc does allow is pathetically useless for an fm transmitter.
us robotics used to make a two piece system that consisted of a 900 mh transmitter and reciever pair and the reciever module had line outputs, or an fm transmitter, but since the trasmitter part needed to cover only the few feet betwen it and the radio they worked very well. you might also consider 900 mhz or 2.4 ghz wireless audio soltuions  those work quite well and avoid the fm radio problems altogether. my headset is good for several hundred feet
