That was a lovely poem Sharon!
I have often thought people are like roses. If you speak to people with
kind loving words, if you touch them gently, if you hug them, listen to
them, encourage them, you then become like the sun and rain helping them to
grow in to what God meant them to be. But if you use harsh words, if you
push and shove, use touch to hurt, if you criticize and make fun of their
dreams and desires, it is like a rose that has been deprived of sun and
rain. They shrivel up and die. People are like rose buds they sometimes
close themselves up tightly to keep from being hurt again, but a little
warmth, a little kindness, a litle taste of unconditional love and they
begin to open gradually at first.
I do so love roses.....can you tell?
