I agree. Whoever can make it with the conditions, we can work it out along
with the 20 meter net. 73, Barb

Subject: Re: Revisiting Moving the 40 Meter Net to Evening

    Hi, all.

Here's my thinking at this point on the 40-meter net. And, as I write this,
please know I can be easily persuaded otherwise. I am a flexible person, as
we all are, I think.

My gut feeling is to keep the time and frequency of our 40-meter round
table as they are over the summer months, with the idea of letting the chips
fall where they may.

I guess I'm a bit reluctant to change things too much, since it's hard
enough getting the word out to everyone.

We are all familiar with how quirky the bands can be in the summer time, so
it should not be too surprising that some weeks are better than others.

If someone wants to try something additional later in the evening on a
frequency above 7200, I'll certainly give it a try too if I'm available.

I again want to thank Lloyd, Kevin, Junior, Steve, and the others for doing
the best they can on those nets and round tables when I'm absent. It means
a great deal to me that you guys are willing to try to carry on what we've
started here, both on 40 and 20 meters.

I've been listening above 7200 for the past few evenings.

I am not encountering strong BC stations, and usually none at all,
until I hit 7270.

It looks like most of the state chaser nets have all dropped below
7200.

So, if we were to wish to try a net at 8:00 or 9:00 PM eastern, there
would be much more room above 7200, at least at my Mississippi qth,
than there is below 7.200.
