    Kris:

Thanks for asking. ... Our son and his family are fine, although he did
indicate that the closest tornado probably was within 5 miles of his house.

He had been monitoring the storm ever since the watch was issued, and was
right on top of things, taking all needed precautions. So, I guess a little
bit of dear old Dad's training and skywarn knowledge paid off.

My son is a ham, but with two little kids around, and needing to be sure
everyone and everything was safe, he did not have the time or ability to
check into the local skywarn nets. This is a shame, because I'm sure they
could have used his spotter knowledge. Nevertheless, he did what he had to
do and all turned out well in the end.

I do think he is a bit more in awe of Mother Nature now, though, than he
previously might have been.

Glad you survived the storms ok, and will look forward to hearing you on the
round table this afternoon.

Tom, It is Satuyrday morning after the big tornado in st. Louis. I just
wanted ti be sure your Son and family are ok. St. Charles got hit pretty
bad in some areas. Lambert is a total mess, and Marilyn Heights and several
areas really have a tremendous amount of damage.

We were lucky here. There were two tornados and one went north of us and
the other went south. We got a pretty good thunderstorm out of it, but
little or no damage as far as I know.

I'll try to make the net this afternoon.
