Oh, Kris, there's no need at all for apologies as far as I'm concerned.

I figured that life was crazy for you for whatever reason, and learning
Windows 7 just adds more complexity to things I'm sure.

I may face the prospect of learning Windows 7 this summer too, since one of
our home PC's is badly in need of replacement.

Again, glad to hear you are ok. That's the main thing!

Tom and All,

This has been a crazy ten days or so. I got a new computer and am switching
from XP to Windows 7, but the biggest problem has been getting Outlook
purchased, downloaded and finally installed. Now I just have to learn to
use it. .

In addition to all this, I simply haven't been home much. It seems like I'm
constantly on the go and haven't had much time for radio or computer.
Hopefully things will slow down this week and I can grasp all the new stuff
with the computer and find some time to get back on the radio.

Just wanted to let you all know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth

so sorry I missed you, Tom. Jim told me he talked with you. I'll try to do
better next time.
Kris

    Junior:

No, I want to send him to some far-off place where none of us live! (grin)

As a quick update here, I went to Radio Shack this evening and bought a
10-foot section of their TV mast, and, if the weather co-operates, a friend
is going to come over here on Sunday to see what he can do.

As things go, of course, projects like this always take longer than we
think, and there probably will be some complications, so I don't want to
guarantee being available for the blind ops net.

But, hopefully, by next week-end, this little setback will be behind me.

Will keep everyone posted.
